The final conference is focused on the presentation of the implemented pilot activities of the project, which contribute to the mitigation of climate change and to the creation of a favorable urban environment adapted to the adverse consequences of this process. These measures include the planting of linear and mobile greenery, the implementation of a green roof on the building of the Žilina City Hall, the restoration of the forest in Zástraní, the procurement of containers for biodegradable kitchen waste, the purchase of electric cars for the delivery of food for seniors, or the completion and revitalization of Park St. Juraj in Trnovo.

Individual blocks of the conference will also be devoted to the presentation of a strategic document containing an action plan for adaptation to the adverse consequences of climate change in the city. The presentation will also deal with air pollution in settlements and will also present tools for determining climate risks or measures to support sustainable mobility in Žilina.

The final conference is financed by the project entitled Mitigation and adaptation to climate change in the city of Žilina, supported by Norwegian Grants 2014-2021 and the state budget of the Slovak Republic.
